Understanding the Pain…It’s Purposeful

Hey!!! What just happened? I was warned; I was told, but now I get it. The struggle is real and yet purposeful.  Life circumstances and situations can be emotionally painful and draining. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS!!! This is usually where my passion for my dreams; to fulfill my God given purpose; to leave a powerful legacy kicks in. I began to focus on what is important and start shedding the unnecessary extra weight (people, habits, and distractions). And yes I kick discouragement to the curb. I try to remember discouragement will attempt to conquer me from the inside out and keep me from achieving the success and prosperity that I desire. But honestly, not before I scream, get mad, and or vent to family and friends. Hey, I’m still growing and becoming into the person God has called me to be.
More importantly, God’s sovereign power is available and ready to come to my  rescue. Yes, in the midst of my struggle and feeling very uncomfortable. God is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to His Power than is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). This verse has provided me the reassurance on those days when I can’t seem to find my way; when I feel like I’m being pushed around and up against a wall. I mediate on this scripture. I realize that I must first ask God to help me and guide me and then believe and expect Him to provide me exactly what I need. His word says he’s able to provide more than what we even know to ask for. I believe who God says He is and all that He is capable of doing and being in my life. Another story in the bible that I read when I need to be encouraged, reminded, and strengthened is about Gideon (Judges 6). So when life gets so big and scary, I know that God calls me powerful, even when I don’t feel powerful or believe that I am able to accomplish the task. God power in my life is able to overcome all obstacles and storms that comes my way, I just need to bucket down (on my knees/prayer) and ride the wave. The pain is temporary but the Power is everlasting.

You see if your destiny, purpose, and legacy wasn’t so powerful, you would not experience any roadblocks, disappointments, or be discouragement. Satan knows that if you stop then the dream is dead and no one will ever benefit from the gifts, abilities, and talents that has been given to you. There is power in you, stand up and walk in the strength of the Lord. Choose this day who you will serve. Choose life for your legacy and seek wisdom in your purpose. I leave you with this simple quote, “NO PAIN, NO GAIN”.
